Terms and Conditions Rising Stars Dance Academy

Payment
Classes are to be paid monthly by Direct Debit. We teach for 39 weeks of the year which is divided by 12 months to give an equal monthly amount.
*Please note payment will still be taken during holiday times as the plan covers 39 weeks split equally over 12 months.
Any additional invoices will be emailed with a DD date to be taken automatically.
Any classes missed for any reason cannot be reimbursed or transferred.
Any invoices that are sent with a ‘pay by ……. date’ on will be notified of payment type required. A £10 late fee will be added if paid late.

Exams
Invoices for exams must be paid in full before the exam date.
An email will be sent before the sessions with a cut off date for those unable to take their exam. You must email with confirmation of non-attendance for the session as there will be no refunds for exams entered after this date.
Students must wear the correct uniform for exams. Please refer to ‘Uniform’ page for exam wear
Uniform and presentation
Uniform must be purchased after 4 weeks of joining the school. We have a strict uniform that must be adhered to. Please refer to ‘Uniform’ page for class and exam dress
Students must attend regularly and on time for classes with hair tied back in a bun (fringes brushed back too). Children will be unable to participate in acro classes without their hair in a bun due to health and safety reasons.
No jewellery to be worn. Studded earrings for those that have recently been pierced must be covered by plasters. All others must be removed.
Drop off, during class and pick up
Parents MUST come to the building to collect their children unless parents feel they are at an age where they can walk out of the building on their own. Please make a member of staff aware if your child is walking home alone.
There will be a £10 fee charged for parents later than 10 minutes collecting their child.
NO Parents/guardians will be allowed to sit in and watch lessons, there is a waiting room for parents/guardians to wait. This is for protection of all pupils.

Cancellation of classes
Strictly 4 weeks notice is required when stopping classes
If you wish to stop your classes with Rising Stars, please inform Miss Emma asap in writing via email or message/whats app
In the result of injury or illness of staff, I will try to provide suitable cover for all lessons where I can. Those that can’t be covered for whatever reason will be cancelled and notice given 24 hours in advance.
Pupils are not permitted to participate in the same style of dance lessons elsewhere due to conflict of interest.
